Conficker Worm

Conficker worm, Conficker, Conficker virus, computer worm, computer virus, Downup, Downadup, KidoThe well-known Conficker worm is a computer worm that has origins from October 2008. Conficker has other names such as Downup, Downadup, and Kido. The Conficker worm is simply rearranged portions of the domain name called “trafficconverter.biz”. This was told by a Microsoft analyst.

The conficker worm is due to strike again on April 1 – April Fool’s Day. So make sure you are careful and have proper virus protection via a good virus removal software. Some good anti-virus programs are Norton, McAfee, CA Computer Associates, AVG, Avast, Kaspersky, Trend Micro, Symantec and others… Also for anti-spyware, try “Spy Sweeper”, Ad-Aware, and StopZilla, among others. Make absolutely sure you’re protected against the conficker worm!!! All of the above-mentioned softwares are great as a Conficker removal tool. This “downadup” worm or virus is nothing to toy with and you must have your Conficker patch in order to be protected properly.

So download one of the mentioned anti-virus and anti-spyware programs now if you haven’t already! This is important! Don’t let the Conficker worm take down your computer! Protect yourself…and…

Protect your data! Back-up all your data! Buy an external hard drive and copy all your important files onto it. If you happen to get the Conficker virus and didn’t back-up all your precious photos, music, work files, and so on….you can kiss them all goodbye! The Conficker worm will eat them all up!

What does the Conficker worm do to my computer, you ask? What are the Conficker worm symptoms? Maybe your Automatic Updates, Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS), Windows Defender, or Error Reporting Services will all be disabled. Or perhaps, domain controllers will respond extremely slowly to client requests, your local area network (LAN) may receive high amounts of traffic that is not typical. Also, any anti-virus or anti-spyware related websites will be inaccessible. Lastly, account lock-out policies may get reset automatically. If these symptoms of the Conficker worm happen to you, it is already too late to get the anti-spyware programs I urged you to download.

Don’t let the Conficker worm happen to you! Be careful everyone!
